Why did you choose your DJ name ?

Adopted name from my record label, which is Erratic Records

DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:

I have been DJing since I was 17. Started off playing hip hop and quickly progressed into mixing hardcore, jungle and jungle techno. Over the years I’ve dabbled in mixing house, techno, electro and breaks. I’ve been producing music since I was 20 and 30 years later I’m still doing it and love it. It’s a massive part of me! I’ve played in various clubs and outdoor free parties and currently play out in Edinburgh and Dundee.

What or who are your influences to play what you play?

I love all kinds of music but specifically in D&B, I love releases on Metalheadz, V Recordings, Symmetry Recordings and most recently OverShadow (my favourite at the moment)I love most subgenres of D&B, from liquid through to neuro. My sets hop between these different styles as I often play off the cuff unplanned sets. Just how I like it!

What other intrests or hobbies do you have apart from Energy1058?

Music production, cycling, hillwalking and walks with our dog Fearghas.
