DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:

I was drawn into the rave scene in the early 90’s and became passionate for the music and the scene. I went on to become a stage dancer for a few techno  PA’s and was one of the resident stage dancers for Rezerection and Helter Skelter. DJ’ing for me was something I always aspired to as I likened it to playing a musical instrument and like many others no doubt, used to think “I reckon I could piece together a better set than that” when at a lot of raves so when I started DJ’ing, I always just played what I would have liked to have heard and the way I would like to have heard it. Before playing online, I played out regularly in around Scotland at Urban Flava and Tunage events to name a few which is still an ongoing thing.

What or who are your influences to play what you play?

Main influence was hero and late friend Chris Kosiba aka DJ Ricochet. Chris was the founder of Urban Flava and had strong links with Trouble On Vinyl and Renegade Hardware records in the 90’s as well as playing at events such as Pandemonium alongside the cream of the scene. Other influences include Carl Cox, Easygroove, Stu Allan, Ratty, Swanee & Dr S Gatchet.

What other intrests or hobbies do you have apart from Energy1058?

Currently I ride downhill MTB and play occasionally with former band mates. Past hobbies included playing guitar in a band for years, motocross, track days on sports bikes and snowboarding(I’ve calmed down a bit with age😂).
