Why did you choose your DJ name ?
Because I needed to change my name from DJFiction to something else.
DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:
Began DJing in late 80’s. Was into industrial and early techno/new beat/club music/acid house etc. played few hours parties and warehouse parties until mid 90’s. Never wanted to be full time circuit/club DJ, I couldn’t play music I didn’t like no matter what they wanna pay me. I’d rather stay true to what I feel and try to express myself through what I play. I’d say I have a wide scope of electronic music and enjoy mixing it all together. Most memorable club was rupture.
What or who are your influences to play what you play?
Influences from beginning to now include front 242, severed heads, fsol isdn, apex twin, Jeff mills, 4hero, double o, rumbleton, sonar circle, terminator 2/ghosts of life, internal affairs, dom n Roland, decoder, ink, Greenleaf, nic tvg, Ron morelli, hypnus, too many to mention.
What other intrests or hobbies do you have apart from Energy1058?
I produce but not much lately. I like to be lazy as possible these days. I have been listening more to energy djs and also another station these days. I still watch the original Frasier seasons 1-11 which are on the laptop pretty much have it on all the time when not listening to radio and/or in chat.
