Why did you choose your DJ name ?

I wanted something that related to my taste in music and the equipment I play it on, "outmoded" seemed to cover it so I dropped the 'd' and DJ Outmode was born.

DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:

I did my raving in the nineties, getting some decks and buying the records I was hearing every weekend seemed the natural thing to do. I played at a few house parties but was very much a bedroom DJ and never really went anywhere with it. I then drifted away from the scene for a good few years and ended up selling most of my vinyl, which was just gathering dust in the attic. In 2019 I picked up a cheap pair of CD players and a couple of compilation CDs on ebay and thought I'd see if I still had the love for it, and it turned out that I did. Then lockdown hit so I had plenty of chance to practice, I started posting mixes on Youtube, and was then approached by Energy1058. I haven't looked back.

What or who are your influences to play what you play?

My favourite DJs back In the day were Vibes  Dougal, Slipmatt, Seduction and Sy.

What other intrests or hobbies do you have apart from Energy1058?

I'm a big Grimsby Town fan, the less said about that the better.
