Why did you choose your DJ name ?

I wanted something simple and everyone calls me Rach so I thought I'd go with that but in capitols

DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:

A raver since 93 and bedroom DJ for years, I started taking mixing seriously in 2022 after being heavily influenced DJ Mantra and Rupture. In March 23, I played my  first jungle set at the EQ50 networking event at Planet Wax, started a regular radio show, Journey in the Jungle on Radio Free Matlock and co-founded (with my partner King Chuga)  Unity Underground, a jungle community in Sheffield hosting regular events with headliners such as Mantra, Equinox, Kid Lib, Digital, Charla Green and MC Chickaboo. As well as at playing Unity Underground, I've started playing for other promoters including  License To Jungle, Music Culture Sheffield and ROSA Festival.

What or who are your influences to play what you play?

Mantra, Double O and music that comes from the Rupture label have had a huge influence on bringing me out of the old skool and into the new jungle sounds

What other intrests or hobbies do you have apart from Energy1058?

I'm a busy mum of 3 so when I'm not doing anything music related I'll be busy with family stuff.
