Why did you choose your DJ name ?
My former Dj name was DJ Summer. But this was over 20 years ago. I made a longer break due to studies, family, job and so on. I'm coming back since 2022 and thought that It's time for a new name. I wanted somthing unique (There are many DJ Summers outside there...). However, it was Halloween and Spill is the name of one of my former chiefs in the army...
DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:
In the first chapter of my DJ life (starting about 1997 until about 2005 or so) I started playing (Vinyl) Techno and Electro. My hidden passion was always Drum&Bass and Jungle. I was was a bit an outsider then in my region. Anyways, I played at several clubs, parties and other venues in central germany. Often Techno/Electro and very often DnB/Jungle. In my hometown together with my mates we established a club ("Club Proton") playing Techno and DnB with biweekly parties. (I was responsible for the DnB/Jungle part...) Also togesther with my mates I was host of a german radio show ("Nexus Beatcounter") with interviews, party tips and DJ sets. Now after many, many years since 2022 I'm coming back into this. I grab opportunties for playing in local clubs here in central germany and play online. Step by step...
What or who are your influences to play what you play?
I have so many different influences that I can't name individuals. I have no favorites or so. I always was open to all. When I look for new music I usually look through everything new I can find. There are many less known tunes outside there which surprises the audience and brings the wow effect...
