Why did you choose your DJ name ?

Was the name of our old cat, so his name lives on with the music now.  I used to go by another name, but there were a few people using the same one, so to remove any confusion I changed to Wenlock in 2023. Opening a new chapter of my musical journey.

DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:

Started playing music back in the early 90’s whilst out raving usually at the Pleasure Dome at Skegness. With the occasional road trip to Doncaster Warehouse, DieHard in Leicester, Dreamscape at the Sanctuary and plenty of other localNights.Played mainly at local events in Boston back then.

What or who are your influences to play what you play?

I have drawn influences from all sorts of music, I could not imagine a world without it.My first Rave tape was what I would class a Belgium Techno, and I’ve always been drawn to music that looks to give a nod to that. I can play such a broad cross section of music.

What other intrests or hobbies do you have apart from Energy1058?

The big one at the moment is producing my own music.I also have a love of horse racing, and have had some small shares in horses for the last 4/5 years.
